Activity Highlights

NO SCENTS

By way of reminder, we have a number of people who are allergic to perfume and other scents and ask that you would be respective of others and refrain from wearing scents.

Are You Seeking A Closer Walk With The Lord

We warmly invite you to join us for this year’s Canaan Weekend Retreat “Who is on the Lord’s Side” Exodus 32.20, September 15-19 at the retreat centre in Orleans. For further information contact Vicki Smith or Vimala Pigilam or see the brochures on the table in the Narthex.

Social Ministry

Thanks to all who donated items for Innercity Ministries. There were two sleeping bags, lots of socks, some shirts, toiletries, juice and chocolate bars. When we took them down to Bank Street, the worker said they were most welcome. He said they go out every night looking for young people out on the streets and said these items would be appreciated. We will be making a delivery of food to Pinecrest Terrace Food Bank. If you wish to donate food, leave it in the basket in the Narthex. Thanks to those who have already donated. Check the bulletin board in Luther Hall for letters from missionaries and others we support. Doreen Schroeder, Social Ministry

Parish Announcements

Worship Services

All Saints will be holding Sunday Worship Services at 10:00 a.m. until further notice.

Visitations

Feel free to contact Pastor Mandara if you wish him to visit you at home or at work. Note the visit days are Mondays 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and Thursdays 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Coffee Hour

Due to budget constraints, the Fellowship Ministry will only be providing the coffee, tea, and sugar for the coffee hour. Everyone is encouraged as part of this ministry to contribute snack items for the coffee hour. A sign up sheet is posted on the notice board outside the kitchen to volunteer to bring snack items and volunteer to make coffee. Thank you for being a part of this ministry.

ASLC Cookie Cupboard

Sunday fellowship time is a vital part of our congregational life. Why not do your part to help keep the fellowship ministry alive and well at All Saints. Pick up some cookies, crackers or coffee when they are on sale and give them to Sue Bingham for storage in the ASLC Cookie Cupboard. Garth Teskey reserves the right to sample all cookies prior to admission to the cupboard.

Food Pantry

Our food pantry is getting quite low. Please bring in non-perishable food items as soon as possible. Also check the best before date to ensure that it has not expired. Thank you.

Altar Flowers

There is a flower chart in the Sacristy. If you wish to donate flowers on any given Sunday, please sign the chart and let the secretary know so she can put it in the bulletin. Doreen Schroeder, Altar Care Coordinator

Lift

Anyone who wishes to have a separate key to use the Lift, please speak to Al Hincke. For any assistance required in using the Lift, please ask Elwin Schauer, or Al Hincke.

Community Clothes Closet

The Community Clothes Closet is available for all those in the surrounding areas in need of clothing. There is no cost for these clothes. Donations of clothing are also most welcome (women's especially) and may be brought in during the hours of operation. The hours for the Community Clothes Closet are: Wednesdays from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Please note the Clothes Closet will be closed in inclement weather (severe rain, snow or extreme cold).

Elevator Keys

The keys to operate the elevating device are located in the photocopier room on a hook above the fire extinguisher. For those wishing to use the lift but need assistance, please ask other members including Elwin Schauer, Al Hincke, Garth Teskey or Merv Bouwman.

Bethesda Needs

Please prayerfully consider the needs of the Bethesda Renewal Centre Ministry for your offerings in 2009. This ministry grew out of the All Saints Community and has been a designated fund with All Saints since the beginning. Bethesda is now in a period of urgent need.

Lost And Found

There will be a box located in the photocopy room for that have been lost or found. Periodically items will be cleaned out and sent to the Salvation Army.

Labels And Stamps

We are still collecting Campbell soup labels and cancelled postage stamps. Please drop them off in the library. We are supporting a mission for the deaf and "Voice of the Martyrs".
